How To Look Great For A Wedding, Royal Style!

The royal wedding is ALMOST here!

There’s so much excitement in the air, can you feel it?

What will Meghan wear. Will it be a classic dress or something with a modern twist? Meghan and Harry are doing a great job to continue to have modernise traditions in the royal family ... perhaps  the dress will be something we haven’t seen before?!

With billions viewing one thing is for sure .. it's going to be exciting!

So where do YOU come in all this? Well with plenty of weddings around the corner, what better way to attend them than with a royal statement.

Here are a few quick tips to give yourself a 'Royal' look at the next wedding, summer ball or special event you attend.

  • Simple Makeup

Did you know Kate Middleton did her own makeup for her wedding? It was classic and ethereal, not to mention she wanted to look like herself.

For a little glam on a wedding event…it’s all about smooth dewy skin. Using a primer that preps your skin and gives a dewy sheen will make the world of a difference. Go for a foundation with a satin finish, if you have oily skin use a matte foundation and add on your dewy glow with a highlighter on your cheeks and nose. It’s all about that effortless look.

  • Loose Wavy Curls

When it comes to hair, keeping it down with loose natural waves is a classic choice!

For the minimalistic look, use a 1” inch curling wand and take random sections of your hair to create a natural texture to your locks. Curl from the ends upwards to create a loose wave look, texturise the curls by running your fingers through each curl before it cools down. Use a little volumising spray to give your hair a little more lift and boost. Once you’ve curled your hair, set it with a light hairspray to keep the waves in place.

  • It’s all about the DRESS

Looking royal is always about what you’re wearing and HOW you wear it. Gowns are always iconic for a royal wedding, but for your wedding event it’s important to keep it ethereal and chic.

With fabrics such as satin gazar, lace and organza, go for a dress that has a corseted bodice with a train. Now a train can get a little too much for your dress so go for a longer length for a classic royal style. Intricate lace detailing on the sleeves will pull the dress together.

Don’t forget to accessorise with a glam pair of heals and delicate pieces of jewellery!

Elegance is key and less is definitely more.
